History and Goals

Continuing the Polish tradition

The Polish Cultural Society of Indiana was created as the result of interest and enthusiasm shown during the International Festival in Indianapolis, IN of 1976. The Polish club was incorporated in February 1977 as the Polish Cultural Society of Indiana, Inc.

The society was created and incorporated for two purposes

1 to achieve a deep awareness and broad understanding within its membership of the contributions to world culture made by Poles and persons of Polish descent.

2 to heighten the appreciation of Indiana’s citizens for the diversity and richness of Polish culture and, especially, the unique achievements of Poles and persons of Polish descent in the arts and sciences
